    gotta love calls.like this....

    Always fun when you get calls like this...please come and take this stuff...for FREE! Granted my brother works in IT here and he got me the gig...but I am the one that kept the gig because I ALWAYS take everything, no matter....plastics, tv, mice, keyboards...I take it all and leave it clean. I also can be called and typically can pick it up within a day or 2 because they give me so much. Last time it was 2 racks and 25 servers along with desktops ect...this is older stuff so who knows.

    I noticed typewriters similar to the one in the photo still sell. Nice pick up. Mike.

    Not to get off topic but Mech, can you elaborate the difference between a dot matrix printer and typewriter? I received a brother 760D word processor for scrap. Looks like a typewriter but seems to work like a printer. Thanks

    One thing I see is they hook to a computer where a typewriter does not. They print a line at a time. Someone might have to jump in here that knows a lot more about them than I. I know the older ones are heavy. From what I just read there is some higher value metals inside. All I have for you is a description from Wiki;

    Actially it WAS an ibm wheelwriter 3 typewriter LOL...the funny thing is...if it works, they sell for $40-60 on ebay...thats some funny stuff right there.

    Oh and man...there were about 20 odd desktops, 30 monitors (lcd), and like 15 apc units...inclusing a couple from a rack...so those were HEAVY. going through all of it now where I can make room for the electronic recycle event I am running on saturday at one of the schools....who knows how crazy that thi g will be.
