    U.S Army Auction/ Gov't Auction

OK, I know people have posted about this before but i'm going to make this and follow up on it when the auction is done and let ya know how it went and if it's worth it. I live about 3 minutes away from The Rock Island Arsenal, a pretty big Island in the middle of the Mississippi River that manufactues a lot of military equip. This is a online Auction and it ends on Tuesday the 12th. I went to the Arsenal today cuz today was the only day you could go there and look at the stuff. I am bidding on 21 different lots. ranging from forklifts, a drop forge hammer, water main shut off valves, rotory vices that weigh up to around 600#. I will update this when i'm happy i won or mad that i got outbid. you can view all the stuff online at ricklevin.com Wish me luck.

I will be bidding on 2 of the forklifts and anything that is solid metal and heavy. Check out lot #'s 201, 202, and 203. 6 and 7 are nice forklifts.

Well the Auction is over so here's my recap. It was a fun but it's definitly not ment for a scraper. Everything went for more than scrap value. I did get the Forklift that i wanted and for under the price i wanted to pay. It's a Hyster lift with dual tires up front, full cab with heat, rated at 6000# lift so it should be able to lift 8000# Hahaha. I would recommend checking one of these out if your close to one. It was fun to watch and try guessing what things would go for. Hit me up if you have any ?'s about them.

You should be able to get the maintenance records for that 6K if they were not with it when you got it. There should be a final inspection sheet that will tell you what is supposed to be wrong with it.
