I think the worst site at the yard I've had was a 1978-83 model Toyota truck that had a Diesel engine, and not totally rusted out, being picked up with the claw and tossed on the the pile.......it was one of those moments that the words come out of my mouth before thinking, and I did apologize to the guy that brought it in, but please do not scrap those trucks....Please.

My trip to the yard did make me cry!!

Hey guys been a long time since I posted. I wanna say thanks first of all to everyone for this great site . I learned sooo much here. Started a year and a half ago collecting cans and worked my way up to a new full size truck multiple storage units full of inventory and making an honest living!!! Then it happened OUR WORST NIGHTMARE last sunday I gotup early didnt realize it was Sun went to my storage and it dawned on me they dint open till 10am so I decided I felt lucky and went to the Casino lol. Lost some money and was leaving when I realized I had a free tshirt FLYER and chance to win A 5000.00 I then go back to my truck and get the coupon . I went redeemed the shirt and won 10.00 free play (wooo hoooo) lost it in about 10 seconds and went back to parking garage to discover my New Truck , a Dodge Bright Red 1500 hemi that ive only made 1 payment on was gone !!!!! I was in pure shock truck was locked in a casino parking garage with cameras everywhere and yes, they stole it. Along with my tools cell phone tablet gps ...everything ! I normally never keep all that stuff in there but I was going to work right after.I even had my briefcase with all my personal info bank, credit card statements yep everything . Im in Az so I was on an indian reservation, these guys are complete #@@!#@@s took them an 1 1/2 to get cops there . I realized my home address was in Navi unit with my garage opener on the visor and asked for a phone immediately to warn my girl about what happened . The casino manager then tells me "I really dont have a phone you can use " ....I then lost it I was pissed . They were nice enough to send me home in a cab that I thought was gonna explode . Ive been learning throughout this experience that basically it went to mexico to make border runs or it is on the reservation being used as a daily driver and there isnt a **** thing I can do about it. I got screwed every thing ive built up ,its gone and it only took the thieves 37 seconds! (Was on security cameras) . I dont really care about the Truck as its insured although being investigated by insurance co. But all my personal property, tools , and a bunch of inventory that was in the back seat (147 DVDS ,portable dvd player ,TomTom ,etc) and most of all my only 2 pics of my kids that are back in Chicago! My whole business has come to a screeching halt. No truck No cell or internet to answer ads until today finally got a new phone. As you all know a week without income is brutal.
Just thought I would share this with all you guys....never I mean NEVER let your guard down .
P.S. last Feb my last truck got broken into and my home owners policy coverage paid for all my personal item's (5800.00) .....but seeing I dont have home owners or rental insurance anymore the automotive policy only covers up to 200.00 for personal property. needless to say im screwed big time ..
MAKE SURE YOU ALL REVIEW YOUR POLICYS AND CHECK FOR PERSONAL PROPERTY COVERAGES AND LIMITS
    THANKS FOR LETTING ME VENT!!!!
