    I hate freon, except....

when I find a brand new 30LBs Cylinder in the garbage lol. Seen like 3lbs of metal laying in someones garbage and a card board box. Looked in the box and found the tank still in the box. Looked on craigslist and am going to meet a guy up hopefully that pays $200 per 30LBs container.

Never knew there was a big market for this stuff. I may have to look into a recovery machine later down the road.
Scrap Yards call me crazy when I pull up with a ton of steel in my Saturn sl2.....

    Nice!

FreonJoe would be the one to hit up, or some of his old posts, to get an idea of how to deal with anything pertaining to removal/handling/certification/equipment, etc

I know there are a few others here as well, that are knowledgeable, in that area. Good Luck

Frank, I was just quoted 340.00 for a 30 pounder. Turns out that it's reclaimed refrigerant from AirGas. When I'm pricing my product, I have to price it against other reclaimers.

Hope it's full and not an empty tank.

Well the tank is 35LBs 12oz and reading up on google, the tank itself weighs in at 5 to 6lbs. Seems like a full tank. Meeting the guy tomorrow to sell this thing lol.

Kbob, check the packaging to see who it was bottled by. Most of what I see is done by AirGas or Remtec.

wow, had no idea. I just found one of these FORANE Refrigerant,R-22,30 lb. - Refrigerants - 2W198|R-22 - Grainger Industrial Supply a week ago, and had it sitting in the garage not knowing whaat to do with it its pretty heavy, not sure of the weight or how full it is. Its sitting just like the 5 fire extinguishers I found last fall. (wondering the best way to get those ready for scrap yard)
