    Welcome to my Shop

The is my humble little shop. it is not "ALL THAT", but it is all that I have right now. It is working for now, but we are looking for a bigger shop now, but I will still keep this one to do testing in and eBay and other marketing stuff. Eventually this will just be a warehouse type storage place for us. we are also exploring building another much larger building here. right now we have about 6000 sq. ft..

This is the ebay area/storage and my Step Dad's nap chair. He works with us every day at 70+ years old and is old enough to take a nap whenever he wants.

This is my desk and it is a hot mess. The monitor above where I sit is so that if I am showing someone something they can see it without having to look over my shoulder.

    Food, coffee and microwave.

This is the test bench for PC's with my Beautiful Daughter and my best friend Steve.

This is the Apple/Mac test bench. Steve is sitting on a large table in the middle of the room we use to fix and test all sorts of things like laptops. My Daughter just realized Steve hacked her Facebook and was laughing about it.

This is storage directly behind my Daughter's back on the other wall. We keep laptops and stuff we are keeping here. My load form a school last week brought us 64 Windows 7 machines. 30 have already tested good. All with power supply's. It was quite a blessing!

This is the back of the west end shop where we have the gaylord boxes. A bit of a mess, but if this is what you do it is not always clean work.

This is one of 3 benches we have that are one rubber tire casters to roll around.

This is an overview of the are in the back by the short overhead door.
There may a million better places to live than Iowa, but none of them are home!

I take shelving out of refrigerators. Those things would work good in your little laptop storage cases, they'll hold a ton of stuff(my fridge is valid proof ; )

    Nice shop!

Wish mine was that organized. lol. An no offense to your dad, or you but when you said his napping chair so he can take naps when he wants..I first thought of Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty.

The shop is a total of 600 square feet. It is actually 3 shops in one. A pole barn with 2 garages built onto the west end. They are all connected so you can pass from one to the next.

As far as volume right now, about 1000 +/- per month.

As for Dad napping...well let's just say that he is married to my Mom and she ALWAYS gets the last word...I love them both with everything in me!

And Donnie, You are welcome anytime! The same is true for anyone else traveling through the Waterloo, IA area.

There is nothing top secret going on here. Everyone is welcome to come by and sit for a bit.

Good idea Bear. I will explain those boxes in another post.

1000 a month, how do you get this much, do you have a system?

Give us some idea in how to get at this level.

I am luck if a get 30 a month, you must have a lot to share with us, please when you have some time tell us how did you get at this high level.

I thank you for sharing your success .

This is a busy time of year for me. We do the scrapping for a LOT of schools and colleges in our area.
This is the time of year when they are upgrading and cleaning out. We get a lot of stuff besides computers also.
Some of it is seem crazy to coming out of a school.

One school recently gave us 64 Core 2 Duo Laptops that have all test good so far. This was along with 22 extra
harddrives and 13 new batteries as well as power supply's.

We are a regular company that is totally legit. We also have a store here in Waterloo, IA.

We pick-up at the schools and do EVERYTHING we can to make it as easy for the school as possible.

Our vehicles are well marked identifying our company. We wear uniform shirts and tee shirts clearly
identifying who we are as a company.

We never smoke, cuss or do offensive things anywhere around the schools whether the students are there or not.

We have, over time, gained a sense of trust with the schools in our area. They have shared what we do with other schools and businesses and we continue to grow.
We are blessed with the ability to do the hard work that needs to be done. And yes, we have got lucky a few times also.

There is a definite learning curve in starting any business. I try to learn from other people's mistakes on this forum and in my life.

We are now on the verge of securing the business of a company that is world wide and has 5 plants in our area alone.
They employ around 6000 people here in town alone. They employ 60,000 people world wide.

Bigger than mine! I'll have to start a thread. I have a small shop and no test bench but I'm good with where I am now!
