    Steel prices

Just curious to what people are seeing in the steel market in their area.

if people could post steel and copper that would be great.

just curious if the locaiton matters.

here in sioux falls steel is at a all time low of 134.00 a ton for Tin
copper number two is at a all time low of 2.34

    Chime in people thanks.,

A little west we are getting $ 150 for unprepared iron. Not sure about tin or copper. How long has your price been at this level?

Last week I got $170 a ton for shred in my steel dumpster. I got $2.90 for 900 lbs of #2 copper on Friday of last week.
There may a million better places to live than Iowa, but none of them are home!

Last time I checked we were at $160 a ton in Georgetown. In Austin, they usually hover around the $120 mark. Not sure about copper, I haven't gotten much of it in a while.

Northern Kentucky- shred $120 ton - six cents a blankin pound- really - costs more to haul it there. The yard isn't big on ferrous but they buy some electronic stuff and I don't have much ferrous so I take my computer cases and what not there.

In Houston Shred was @ $8.50 per hundred. I have not taken any in because it's so low. I will stack until price goes back to make it worth taken to the yard.

Where did you get $134 for tin in Sioux Falls? I sold a small load there last week and only got $100 for it.
