    new yard

I had a appointment in Carbondale PA a 55 mile drive from home . I took 35 pounds of copper with me , about 4 pounds of lead & touch of AL . I was going to sell it to my regular yard on the way back after appointment.
Wile i was in Carbondale I figured what the heck, I asked if a scrap yard was near . sure enough there was one 2 miles away .

I stopped in and was surprised by his price $2.50 for copper compared to $2.31 - lead .50 compared to .35 so excited forgot to ask about AL price, I was paid $100 .

The owner said he offers a favor to long distance driving scrappers . he gives out 5 gallons of gas for $10 to help with the driving cost.
maybe with some research there might be more yards then I realize.
