Big screw up at the yard yestereday

called the yard and got an .11 price on 4 000 lbs of server cases no plastic.

we loaded the truck and I also had 400 lbs of Dell desk tops with plastic I decided to load at the front sense we had the room.

I had to go pick up a load of boards so sent wife and kids to the yard with the truck,

forgot to tell the wife to go through the scale and take off the servers then go back through and unload the dells.

    results
    1. we got degraded from .11 to .075 about a 150 dollar difference.

    2. but the real damage was to my reputation, the manager is convinced I tried to hide the dells. even though they were all stacked neatly in the front and all came out in the same on the pile. right on top.

    A. lesson learned: make sure your instructions to the crew are clear and understood.
