    possible drink vending machine.

I was walking my dog recently I walked by a house that was for rent. I decided to check out the backyard I did not walk far past the gate for obvious reasons but I did see an above ground pool and drink vending machine. I texted the leasing agent for the company whose sign was in the front yard. I told her id like to get those items out of her way for free. I also told her id tidy up the yard for free to try and sweeten the deal. After about an hour of no reply. I more or less forgot about it. She did end up texting me back, she said her broker is going to contact the owner and see what they say. Hopefully ill be loading it up tommorow! That would be really awesome. Well sorry for the long thread about a maybe. Its exciting she even considered it.

You know what this may need to go into scrapmetal spots. If a house has a for rent sign up. Whats wrong with looking in the backyard? It may turn into a find for me. Or for others who may look.

Good luck. Hopefully pool comes apart quick. I took one down and rolled up side steel. Next time I will probably sawn all.

If you scrap it, take the coin mech out. Those sell.

Sell the machine whole at auction if you have a local on-line auction house.

I actually tried this when I had two of the same machine a couple months ago. No bites on CL, so I sent one to auction, and then I just took the coin mech out of the second (it didn't stay cold), and scrapped the rest.

I ended up making more on the coin mech and scrapping.

It all depends on who's bidding though. You never know with auctions.

This is the Chicagoland area so that may play a role in what a working "Coke" machine should fetch on ebay or craigslist. $500 should be a pretty easy number to get with a few people drumming up attention.

I'm fortunate that within an hour's drive there is a HUGE auction house sitting on several acres. Because of the drive I only go when I have a truck or trailer load to drop off. They have a very large online presence (Repocast.com) and a lot of eyes on every auction so my items do pretty well. And if some go too cheap? WTH, I got them for free.

Thanks an good luck no matter what route you go!
