Silver brass copper

There is no question if i have extra money from a good load of mix or short i'll buy some silver . Or some times I go for a 1 once silver challenge . I see if I can find fast some things that will equal 30 bucks or so for some silver.
Still i have to say I seem to manage to find copper wire to eventually = #2 and I find consistently brass also . I used to feel the need to rid my self of brass for silver & copper for silver. Now I am wondering since I seem to find it I must have a knack in finding it . Maybe I need to except that wile i will get silver as i have been , maybe my calling is copper and brass Maybe I need to get 5 gal buckets to fill and forget . and only buy silver with AL , mix or short . Or should I sell all my copper and brass and just buy all the silver I can . All said and done they seem to more or less trail each other in there respective value's.

Because its easier to store because it weighs less than the same value in copper and is also stamped and recognized as pure silver. It's easier to trade with and follow the value of something that is globally recognized as pure. That way you know exactly what you are getting. Your kid was also right. It is shiny.

I've been thinking of holding back a few $ and buying some silver myself as an investment. Part of me is afraid our monetary system will fail! Silver is silver in any country through.

Problem with silver these days is there is A LOT of fake silver being sold and traded.

I mostly collect the old worn silver coins and a few nicer ones that most likely are real.

I buy most face to face and my eBay buys are now and then when I find what looks like a real deal. mostly smaller common coins from around the world.

I do like Canadian silver and their other coins.

On eBay most silver and fakes sell for more then I'm willing to spend.

What about the folks that believe they are investing in silver and gold that is stored someplace else?

It's hard to choose the right words but i think of precious metals as being portable wealth.

I try to keep my shop very well organized. Most of my focus these days is copper & brass. #2 copper goes into a 12x12x12 box weighing 50 lbs. / #2 copper wire & bare bright go into a 12x12x6 box weighing 50 lbs. / brass goes into a 12x12x6 box weighing 50lbs.

I make a run to the scrap yard once i've accumulated 500 lbs any particular kind. That takes up the back of my car and it's just about the comfortable weight limit of what the vehicle can move.

500 lbs of #2 copper pays about $ 1400.00 at my scrap yard these days.

If buying & selling silver ... i tend to go with $ 1,000.00 face value, 90% silver, U.S. coins. It goes in a canvas bank bag and weight about 54 lbs.

54 lbs of junk silver coins has a value of roughly $ 2,000.00 now

As you can see .... silver is only about 1/10 th. the weight and is worth even more than copper.

Still .... try moving those bank bags around. They're not really all that portable.

One tiny little ounce of gold is roughly $ 1,900.00 today. It comes in the form of a coin which is easily recognized and fits nicely in your pocket. That's truly portable wealth.

An alchemy project that turns copper into gold is a pretty neat trick when you think about it.

Are you aware of just how much fake gold and silver is out there?

And counterfeit paper/cloth money is in circulation much more then we are told about by the treasury and fed.

Those top quality 100 dollar notes from North Korea are still circulating around as they are so good that most banks miss them.

I have some fake silver coins that my cousin sent me that he bought off eBay. He got his money back and was told to keep them. He had sent one in for grading and it came back saying it was fake. They sure look real, but they are not.

It's been awhile since i've done a silver transaction. Most of it is in the trusted business relationships you develop over the years. You want to buy and sell with a reputable dealer that has a sterling reputation. If a guy has had a brick & mortar establishment for the past 20 years ... he's probably legit.

Ebay is fine for a lot of things but i don't think i would want to do PM's there. That wouldn't be a good choice.

The fakes are everywhere these days. Some are very good fakes. I don't trust most that is for sale as things happen and people believe that what they have is real when in fact it's not.

I have seen people leave great feedback on eBay for designer items that were most likely counterfeit.

I do plenty of research looking for hard to find answers. That is what trips my trigger.

The CIA and many others are very busy doing things that are not very nice to keep the illusion of MONEY circulating.

The truth and facts can be figured out if you truly want to figure it out.

But most believe what they are told by the officials in charge of the truth.

P.S. I haven't a clue as to what happened to Jimmy Hoffa. One of the most entertaining theory is that he was made into hotdogs and fed to the fans at a game. I don't believe that as that would be insane, but stranger things have happened.
