    Bought a trash compactor...

It's an old General Electric Compactall. Found it on craigslist for 20 bucks. Bought it in the hopes it would crush pop cans. After dragging it home and filling it with cans, it does okay. Probably a 3 to 1 compaction. Not what I had hoped for, but wasn't sure what to expect from a home duty crusher.

What I dream of is a hydraulic compactor, but I don't do any kind of volume that would necessitate spending the $$ to get one. But it would be cool.

I have thought about that. I'll keep my eye out for one. I found a company that seems to be using the same log splitter that Harbor Freight sells (electric) and modifying to crush cans and paint pails/drums.
