I am sure I could, but the thing is, I stopped primarily dealing with pure scrap metal recycling over a year ago, when the price dropped to 7.5/lb and has been that way ever since. Bad news is, is they are the highest paid around. When I did free pickup, I would get upwards of 10 pickups a week, but with high gas prices, and some being an hour or more away, wasn't making any money. Now that I charge, I am able to make a little profit, but to be honest, I make a lot more with pure junk removal and electronics recycling, and reselling stuff on ebay.

Thanks for the tip on the donuts. I will be sure to definitely hook them up, depends on what we work out.

This is what I am hoping for. According to my wife's uncle, they tried that, and for some reason werent able to get it done...not sure why, but I know some of the higher ups, so I might have a chance, especially for all that stuff.

This seems absurd that at $150 a ton you can't make a profit. That might be lower than many of us are getting but it is still a substantial amount. Especially when there is probably tons and tons of steel just sitting on that property. There would be no reason that you could not haul in 10 tons a day with your equipment available.

I participated in the cleanup of two like jobs that you were presented with and steel price for us was 135 a ton at the time. We had 2 trucks, one trailer, and one cutting torch. WE MADE BANK! When something like this arises you show up with sledge hammers-a-swingin!
