Love the auto censor. Didn't think it was a word all that offensive, since McCoy used it on TV so frequently in the 60's.

Hoo-boy, that's the truth. 8 degrees, with windchills feeling like below zero.

I have to pull on the insulated overalls, though, Tuesday nights are one of my best nights out on the streets.

Hey... you guys were poking fun at us "cute Southerners" for taking pictures of snow a coupla weeks back.

Yeah... our forecast high is 61 today.

Poke fun at THAT while you're feeding your woodstove.

Sooooooo why did you volentarily move back to Mi? I know after 20 years in the Marines I could have moved back to Northern Indiana but was afraid of some of that weather. Oh and I got the Trekie reference right away, thanks for that. Mike.

It's simple for me Mike. First, I am not permanently moved back to Michigan, I love both the weather and my Sweet Girl I left in Sarasota. I'm here to keep my MI business in order for a bit, and will be back in FL in Feb. Have MI where they can run without me, I just come back to manage my scrap sales, sales at auction, and so on. Also, Florida is slower business wise for me.

Staying here longer than I want because I have a ticket I have to fight 1/29 for scrapping in Detroit.

We could wait until it's 115 where you are and you are huddled next to your AC trying to keep cool and tell you about the nice 78 degree day we had!
It's just a little chilly where I am right now. 20f

T-Shirt, jeans, hat, drink plenty of water... don't burn your hands on the tools, and take a break every now and then.... some shade is good, but not a requirement. All will be good... :-)

How about shipping some of that heat a few miles north?
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

    Sorry,,,I am keeping it!
I went to Greenville once and it took us hours to get the camp into the high 50's using a monitor heater, a small wood stove and Electric heat in the bathroom. When we got up in the morning it was -38. We We did get out on snowmobiles when it wormed up to -20.

when you live in Michigan and take a vacation to Disneyworld in the
middle of winter and turn off the heat but forget to turn off the water.

When I was in the Navy, down in the engineroom of the USS Kitty Hawk, there were these vent ducts that they piped in air to keep us cool. As long as the air coming down to cool us off was under 100°, all was good and we went about our business. And I mean they stuck those thermometers up INSIDE those pipes. If the air coming down to cool us off went above 100°, they'd just make us work shorter shifts.

Heat I can handle... cold just SUX!

OOHHH that looks like a Porsche 911 Carerra under all that ice. Not sure about the red car...going with the European tastes, I'd have to say a Convertible Volkswagen Golf?
