I have a question. What do you do with the platters after you gut the hard drives? As I'm sure you already know, they have the data. Do you send them to a shredder or do you sell them just like that? Nice vid! Looks like Bob had a few too many beers!

it all depends on the platters.. sometimes I may refine it, or sometimes I may sell it to some of my buyers.. they pay about 1.50 per pound.

Hey, bnb, can you explain the tables you use? Are they meant to catch screws or something?

cute kids. congrats. wait till their about 13 or 14 see if you can get them to do any thing then .

that said : the video is cute but pretty deceptive, there is no volume production as advertised. and you don't take a drive apart by removing 4 or 5 screws.

I know i'm not going to win any friends by criticizing such a cute video, but that is what it is, a cute video.

Guess you missed the whole point..

We do scrap out in volume, we scrapped out today approx 145 drives, its the principle. Protect your customer data, and also make it a family thing,

We shorten the video to show that it can be done with a few people doing certain part of the procedure, My daughter, does take off the boards, My Bob the builder.. does take the lid off and my 14 year old does take the rest apart, and I also help out in taking them apart, My wife seperate the drives parts into its proper place, and ensure that no metal is sorted into the al,

so again, the video is just a snippit, of how it can be done.. but done in a short snip why watch a video for approx 10 mins on each drive or perhaps little less.

But glad you watched it, and thanks for making my kids smile by sayin they are cute.. that was there first video..

    More to come.

so Protect Your customer data.. break it down and make more money..

ahhh the table.. I came up with this table 8 years ago.. better then picking dam screws off the ground or gettin them stuck in your feet.

basically I bought several sheets of iron mesh ... I builted the table out of chip board and two by four and screws. simple to make..

I did this to catch all them screws.. and also.. We drink alot of Monsters and tend to spill them dam drinks now and then.. so its kinda nice oops it not going anywhere ... its will dry up no biggie, also.. having the mesg table helps catches alot of the dust that comes out of these darn computers and BUGS.. If we find bugs running break out the touch and exterminate instantly.

I'm going to be moving into a bigger warehouse in Feb.. so wait till You see My new table bigger and more improve.

when its loaded up with screws and such, I'll have a simple way of dumping it, secret.. but for now.. its a pain in the arse to take the mesh off by screws and puttin it back on.. but its about a ten min job.

glad YOu like my table alot of people liked it, works great.

    have a good night.

Even though I can't see this one today, unless some unforeseen reason I go to town(where I've watched other "scrapping" videos), I'm fairly certain it would rank among the top 90%, at least in my book, but, then again, that's my book
