    Fat Harddrive Baby break down

I decided to do a video again on Big Ole Harddrive break down.

there alot that comes out of these so take a peek and watch the video.

First video is break down of what you get out of the harddrives

    http://s1307.beta.photobucket.com/us...28578.mp4.html

Second video is weigh out.. Now in this video I forgot the read write head and gold on the read armature

    http://s1307.beta.photobucket.com/us...ea30f.mp4.html

in this next picture is what I wanted to show.. that little gold ic chip on the read write aramture

now the total from all the scraps You get out it is this,

2.25lbs of controller boards total 28.00
    1.25 ext alum 00.85
    4.25 cast alum 01.92
    1.50 platter 01.50
    2.50 steel 00.25
.25 read write head aramture 00.15
    2.00 motors 01.50

    total value 34.17-this is avg

now if you sold this for total weight it would been 13lbs at 1.05 per pound come to 13.65 profit of breaking it down is 20.52 so I gained that much but it took an addtional 30 mins to break it down.

Hope You like the video and the break down. Please comment if You like thanks or have question

That IC chip is about the highest gold per pound IC out there. I ran some that were in the 20g a pound range.

Good video, but you need to check the resale value of those first before scrapping them, one of them i recognized as a seagate st-251 43mb. It is worth $50 all day long on ebay. I didnt recognize the other 2 but probably worth about the same. Just 1 drive your gonna come out ahead over what you made off the 3 and there is about the same amount of time involved listing and shipping them over scrapping them out.
I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE
