    Silverware find

Did a cleanout today and there was a box of silver. Every other time I have taken in silverware they have told me it is plated and worthless, so I have thrown it into my shred pile.

In this particular instance, it was NOT worthless. It was marked sterling silver so I took it in. I figured anything over 50 bucks and I'd be happy. Shocked when they paid me $424.00 for it!

    Happy dance!

No I don't, and I know I should be paying attention to stuff like that, I certainly do with my other scrap!

They weigh it behind a counter where you can't see them doing it. I've been to another buyer and they do the same thing.

I know, I know, find one who weighs it where you can see them. I was just so frickin' happy to get that money today. It's been a lean week.

Was it a complete set? If so you probable just cost yourself about $2000 in profit. I wish I could find stuff like that Nice score.
