I'll try to hone down and keep it short the final documentary Not related to e waste per say - surprised me as I have been told that china's thirst for metal is a driving force in the metal market . Those community's and buildings seem large enough to me that i see a need for Copper AL Steel coupled with there out put of goods to the rest of the world . I see my lively hood relies on china , & heard rumors that my yard I frequent sells much of there product directly to china .now I feel a bit of nerves when i see china is exhibiting symptoms similar to people with a spending problem - like a hoarder . Me having empathy for others I hope some day china uses those ghost communities ,Still in the long run seems logical that what there spending money on is probably better then countries spending on weapons of mass destruction .
I am not going to tout how to burn wire that is in general illegal but from research a back yard burner (of wire) there are techniques that can absolutely make or break the amount of soot and smell heat is the key with raw fire and a spritz of water as needed . ( hypothetical )
Since E waste to these countries is not coming to an end any time soon I wish for there sake & they really have no choice as the build up of toxins of wire casing ash with out a really hot wood wood fire behind it makes the by product unbearable to live with
I watch these films and the large scale of it and seeing how they just burn the casing and plastic I see us humans are in big trouble. I know the earth has the ability to cleanse it's self in time .

Mother nature with eons of time at it's disposal will some day pull the rug out from below us .

I have been reading more and sure the earth is in trouble & just like when you load your truck for the yard each LB counts for the final pay out .Clearly the earth was over loaded with pollution at the start of the industrial age . The human race is not smart as a whole, we destroy trees that are needed , we also just keep loading the truck each day with more and more things , I am but one person, and I see how fast I can collect to a point I can't processes my inventory , how these developing nation people do what they do is surprising . It's a waste how in America with many people out of work that don't take all those tons and process it our selves ( how about people in prison) and do it clean .
Us as scrappers should under stand how it really works . small scale is same as huge scale . As I have heard developing countries need metal ,I feel one reason they can pay higher amts from certain sources is cause they have other sources that they pay very little for the CU AL & other metals . The work of the poor class helps to balance out what becomes there true purchase price , A communist country I am sure controls the metals from the poor .
Any way as some members say - if it were easy everybody would do it well the real competition are these countries , & to think how town to town laws keep trying to make it hard for you and me to collect E trash, so the state can appear to do the right thing, opposed to us. Low and behold where does it end up, - being burned with complete abandonment. We all own the air we breath and eventually we do get air from china as it circles the earth
