Hi not yet, i have talked to a few, how ever i do have some good leads.I have to ship to perth western australia being the closest australian port to me. I hope to have a full container ready around november. If any one can recomend a good electric wire stripper that runs on 220 volt, that can strip from 1.5mm to 40mm that would be great. I have been stripping manually , and as you all know this is time consuming , any advice would be greatly appreciated . thanks.

Sucks having to ship scrap. When I lived in Alaska I had to ship all my scrap to Seattle, WA. There are a couple of good threads on here about wire strippers.

Is this in all one length, un-tangled if so get a pull through stripper it will be cheap and easy, 2 tones is probably about 5 grand worth of copper, so unless your going to keep getting wire I wouldn't invest in anything too crazy. Are you going to need any paperwork for all that copper, if so hopefully you can get back in touch with who you got the wire from.

My sister keeps bugging me to move to AUS if there is that much of a scrap market maybe I should?

Hi,thanks for reading my post. The wire is in verious lengths and gages and is not tangled.it is all the left overs from building a new power station on the island.I have also quiet a lot more from a demolished wharehouse and regular visits to the dump. This place is realy a scappers paradice. There has been phosphate mineing on the island since the 1880s and the metal is very rarely recycled even to this day i have gathered solid ali radiaters that weigh 125kg each, huge amounts of copper pipeing brass and the list just goes on.I have a registed buissiness here ,and that is all i legaly require in Australia. I moved from New Zealand 20 years ago it was one of the best decistions i have ever made. Go visit your sister and have a look at the standard of living and the quality of life its fantastic, how ever in saying that Christmas Island is a speacal place like no other. Thanks and happy scrapping
