My **** nieghbours suck. I have a group of women that

I have a group of women that just are making my life hellish.
They get together and plan my missery for the week.
I've had the city come by, the fire department, and even child services called on us.

    Keep this in mind:
I rent the store out front and have a two bedroom apartment out back.
We are on the corner so I have a big lot out back also.
We are zoned commercial residential. And have the right to do business on this whole property.
The big issue is no fence, so everyone walking by can see right into our yard/lot.
So I picked up a 35' camper and gutted it. It now is for storage. It looks good, we have the awning out and have built a deck.
Today I parked my enclosed trailer accross the front of the camper so it can't be seen from sidewalk. Tomorrow the plan is to build a fence accross the rest of the yard.

    With that been said.
On Saturday I pick up a free pop up trailer. Brought it home, two hours later we have a small utility trailer for free.
I hid all the remanents from the trailer because the dump is not open until tomorrow.

We head out to the "AUCTION" (curbside pickup).
An hour later the guy up stairs calls me and says the women are taking pictures of my yard/lot.

Man this sucks, every time I leave something out of place, it either gets stolen or the neighbours are complaining.

Sounds like a privacy fence would pay for itself in peace of mind. What they can't see they usually won't steal. And there would be no more pictures.

That's true and the big plan for tomorrow. I am so glad we did good at the auction or we would be more piXXed off.
Got me and two buddies to turn this place upside down. I have so many projects on the go but this has to be done in the morning before I leave for the daily run.

Something caught my attention today while going to town, I always pass by a guys house that is always working on a vehicle then it kind of takes residence in the back and side yards. He put up a 6' snow fence but made out of black plastic instead of the bright orange. As I was driving by I noticed that it was almost impossible to see thru it but I'll bet the wind can still get thru for a breeze. Would not be nearly as expensive as the privacy fence.
Just not as secure of a fence is all. Someone would be noticeable trying to cut thru the snow fence tho.

BrassCatcher That could be the problem. That hot tub we got last weekend got setup through the week and we had a bar b q that turned into a hot tub party in the backyard.

We were thinking of using wooden lattace painted white and painting the plywood behind it green or something.
I am sure this saga will continue as long as we're here. However, have to put a fence up any ways.
On a side note. Our four year has the run of the yard with toys and such so it's not even an eye sore. It's just out for the world to see. Well we'll see what tomorrow brings.

If you are zoned comm/residen is there a height limit. if you can i would go 6ft high and you can get wood fencing pretty cheap at a home depot or lowes. Or whtt about splitting the cost with the landlord. Its a good invest for them since it does bring up value of property...just a thought. I went with a 6ft vinyl all around but I am here for the duration, looks nice and easy maintenance. Power wash it once in late spring/early summer and i am good for an entire year, no sanding and painting.

One thing I have done that made me feel better dealing pain in the butt people is blow them a kiss. I will follow up with an eye wink and a big smile. Keep in mind I am a large unatractive man. Can you imagine the little old ladys complaining. "He blew a kiss, winked and then smiled at me. Mike

It's more likely that I'd get known as the town "Dirty old man".
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

I believe 007 is RC Commercial, perhaps he could give you some insight into the bylaws for his state.

Seattle RC reads as follows: Residential-Commercial

    RC
Allows certain types of commercial uses at the street-level, within structures that contain at least
    one dwelling unit.

Sorry to here of Your troubles with the neighbors
" I've had the city come by, the fire department, and even child services called on us. "
Let Me know when the call the Animal Protection Wacko's on You Also , and claim you are abusing your cat's , like My neighbor did to Me , and they All show up at the Same Time , Fire Inspection , Board of Health , Water Dept. ( watering lawn during a water ban ( lawn was dead , brown grass LOL ) Gas Company and Light company ? (for reported tampering with there meter ) , Our Apartment maintenance with the Head of the rental company and Child Protective Services . the street was almost blocked LOL
Here in Mass. , the MSPCA Does Not need a Search Warrant to enter Your property if investigating a case of suspected animal cruelty as that would delay there mission .
( got to love the little old bitty's that donate thousands to the politicians )

It way too late for that. Had the label for awhile. Especially after the hot tub party.
