I am not rich enough to not feel the pinch at the pump but I see I don't think like i used to like back in the days before scraping i was always pissed at the price of fuel how it was hurting to pay .Then I started to see how connected fuel price to metal price is Now when i see fuel go up I know its time to get busy - As fuel drops so does my inventory value. Funny thing was recently when the price at the pump was hitting a high i said to my father in-law prices of metal are great with the high fuel prices . He said to me so we all have to suffer for you to make good buck with metal

I'm seeing this from a Canadian perspective, we have a lesser population and were paying $1.19 upwards for a liter at the pump, 4 liters is almost the equivalent to an American gallon. The USA has millions more in population which reflects on the price you pay for fuel which incidentally is much less than i pay.

I foresee fuel rationing as the masses loose their income, savings sucked dry and very few jobs the refinery's will lay off workers having skeleton crews at the refinery's that remain in production, the oil fields will halt exploration work then as our oil reserves become low rationing will come into being. If I had oil shares in my portfolio I wold be thinking about selling.

There's something blowing in the wind, they say the best way to weaken you enemy if to flood their economy with counterfeit money or in the case of China manufacture goods that last less than a week - same game Charlie.

Because we all had become so accustomed to living in a throw away society it was an easy task to overtake the world with worthless junk. The brains behind this knew that the baby boomer money would not last forever.

I've been wrong before and hope i am again with my prediction.

You are wrong on this one. A liter is more than a quart for one thing. Oil companies are not going to lay people off, there is more oil in the USA and canada than ther is in the middle east. Why do you think Canada want's to pipe oil down to the USA? All you have to do is look at North Dakoda.

They say its considered rude to make spelling corrections of another persons post, may I suggest using a spell checker. I was taught in school from American texts so I now use the American dictionary in my checker. Now to perfect my grammar.

Do you begrudge a pipeline coming from Canada into the US to feed her hungry demand for energy. Personally I would just as soon see the oil remain in the ground were its been for millions of years. In the crude state it seems to have an indefinite shelf life.

I used to sell fuel and know the difference between the American and Canadian gallon. For the record your US quart is only 32 fluid ounces whereas the Canadian quart is 40 ounces.

Ever hear of a 40 pounder, that is a Canadian quart of whiskey. Just like they do in Texas we think big in Canada.

I don't completely see it that way,what I see is a cooperative world economy . who needs who - china needs us we need them - all countries need each other . If uncensored the Internet is the great joiner of all people .Some Countries filter the web China Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, South Korea, and Uzbekistan filter the web , Yet people in china use E Bay
The most important item in the entire world is food as long as there is food.
The production of food , allows us to have every thing . 5000 lb of copper is meaning less with out food .
We live in special times as humans are at the top of there game in food production wile some unforeseen power decides who gets food, thats the real sadness as people starve and others put food to trash . We wash our cars as others are thirsty. At Halloweens end millions of pumpkins are put to trash. Did you ever have pumpkin soup.
