Made my first major sale of boards

I think I did pretty good. 337 lbs of various motherboards, cards, etc. Got a total of $1384.50 minus $225 shipping. There are not a lot of escrap buyers in Canada, but I think I got very competitve prices even when compared to the US buyers. Got paid $3.50-$4.25 for the motherboards, $4.50 for the gold fingered cards, $4.50 for mid-grade telecom boards, $4.00 for CD/DVD drive boards and $4.25 for misc. high grade boards. Overall I'm very happy, and time to gather up a bigger load!

Nice job! Who did you use? How did they rate service, rates, payment wise? I'm sure there's a few Canadians on the forum that would benefit from good escrap recycler reviews.

Some really nice pricing you got there as well. Not often you find a buyer willing to pay 4$ for medgrade boards.
Born to think, destine to succeed.

I used EDI Inc in Orillia, Ontario. They do not publish any prices on their website, I think they cater more for business to business transactions. I don't know for sure, but probably they would not be too interested in buying a few lbs of stuff here and there.

The service I got was first rate from the beginning to the end. Always reply to emails, very courteous on the phone, helped with the freight, etc. They emailed once they got the shipment, then emailed about 5-6 days later once they evaluated my shipment. Once I agreed to the settlement, they mailed the check 1-2 days later. I had all the stuff sorted in different boxes, so I would better know what to expect.

They will get all my business in the future, I already have another 4-500 lbs to send them in a week or two.

BC to Ontario is a long ways! I guess the shipping costs were reasonable too
