    Northern Ohio buyers?

Hello I am new to scrapping computers but have been doing the metal thing for years. The company I work for is allowing me to scrap out a bunch of machines. I have collected quite a bit and have been selling them off and on to a local scrap yard. After a couple of visits I started doing some Google searches and found this forum as well as a few buyers in my area.

My question is has anyone heard of or used a place called Cash for Computer Scrap or a used a place known as Boardsort.com? I am weary of dealing with companies that I am not familiar with. My local yard may not offer the kind of money that those two businesses claim to offer but at least I know that I will be paid and that the check will clear. Those two companies are within a 2 hour drive of where I live so that is why I am asking.

    Thanks in advance.

Cash for computer scrap is on here. MaRio (Ewasted) will answer any questions. I believe boardsort is also here, but not very active. Can't remember his name.

I believe we have 3 or maybe 4 buyers here from Ohio for Ewaste. Both Cash for Computer Scrap and Boardsort are members only difference is Cash for Computer Scrap has paid to advertise on here with a very active thread (so that's who I use).
    Better than the dump!

I use Cash for Computers because they pay the most money, very active, and very honest. I would give him 3 thumbs up if I had 3 thumbs.
    Plus welcome to the forum.

    Hello all,

Thank you for the information on these two companies. I am going to give boardsort.com a try. I attempted to reach out to both but could not find a phone number listed for Cash For Computer Scrap. Based on what I have read they are a reputable company but I would like to know that I can reach someone should I have a question or a problem. After speaking with a gentleman (Chris?) at boardsort he was able to help step by step and gave me some valuable info on how to better capitalize on my current scrap situation. I will be going first thing tomorrow. Nothing against the other company I just like knowing that there is a real person there for me when I need one.

Thanks again and if there are any problems with the transaction I will certainly update the forum but so far so good.

If you don't mind post the payouts and shipping once you have done the transaction.

    Hello,

I am sorry I did not see this message until now. Unfortunately I do not have my receipt from my scrap sales to bordsort but I can tell you that they paid me exactly what was posted on their website. In fact they sorted some of my boards and what i thought was lower grade was actually a higher grade which was a pleasant surprise was not expecting that.

I took the items there in person so I dont have shipping costs either.

I will absolutely be going back again in fact real soon with a bigger load of stuff. I have been working with chris over email and the on the phone preparing all of the stuff in advance. I swear i am driving them all crazy with my calls and questions but they keep telling me that they dont mind and they would rather me ask ahead of time than show up and it being wrong.

Everyone there was polite and helpful and they even brought me a coffee! i recommend them for sure.

Thanks to all for your help!
