Check out these very-high grade boards

Hey everyone, I just finished weighing a bin full of high-grade boards that I had and I wanted to share some of my best kinds with you; I haven't seen any quite like them on the forum. The best part about these boards is they also have chips and stuff on their backside. I have 22 pictures total but can only post 10 I believe. I tried to post pictures in a manner to show you the wide variety. I have no idea what kind of boards they are, most say "Cisco Systems" or "Sun Systems" and have LSI, Broadcomm, etc... kinds of chips on them.

This picture is a top view of the bin.

These are just a bunch of high-grade telecom boards I figured I would toss in.

What do you all think their price/lb=? The backsides of these boards are quite nice as well, I should have taken some pictures of them too (except for the last pic).

those are avarage-mid grade as far as high grade boards go id say in the $6-$10 range depending on the buyer, the ones with the gold bands on the edges in the bottom of the first pic will bring $10, the rest are quite a bit lower

That's good to know because most of them have the gold edge on them, the pictures I chose to post here show the variety. I got about 300lbs of these kinds of boards, with 3-4 super boards that I didn't post here. To me I've always thought that boards that sell for $4.50+/lb were high-grade.

As for where they came from, I'm unsure. Many of the boards came with 12-24 heatsinks on them. I had to take the steel off, now I have a bin full of steel to and a lot of heatsinks.

how much gold coverage is on the back sides? it there is alot it could be worth alot more than $10, those boards need to be sorted by grade and there are lots of grades and sell them to a buyer that buys them that way

Depends on the boards. On the backside there are several IP chips, some have a slot similar to what you see on a backplane/expansion board. The gold on the edges is on the back as well and there is commonly gold squares on the back where cpu lookin chips are on the front. On some of the boards there is the gold LSI chips, the ones that go for $140/lb.

The boards with the gold edges, turn hem over and scrape away some of the coating on them. They might have gold like the edges covering a good portion of them. High grade stuff you have here....nice pick up. Looks like a ton of gold ics on some of the bigger boards as well. I wouldnt pull any off until you speak to a buyer.

I guess we were typing at the same time regarding the back sides of those boards. I sold some of those a few months ago. Your going to like what you get in return for them....I'm jealous

most of your boards will fetch about $4-8lb. from what I can see and one so far looks to be worth about $12lb. Let me know if I can be of service.
