A lead for someone in Nebraska (water meters)

I'm not anywhere near Ne, so this is no good to me. That being said, anyone here ever buy any water meters? If so, how'd you make out? Anything to look out for?

City to Take Bids on Scrap Water Meters

The City of Bridgeport is taking sealed bids on scrap meters. There are approximately 200-250 brass water meters. The successful bidder will be responsible for picking up the meters. Meters must be paid for with Cashier's Check BEFORE pickup. Sealed bids need to be received to the City Office by August 5, 2011 at 9:00 A.M. Please mail to:

    City of Bridgeport
    Scrap Meters
    PO Box 280
    Bridgeport NE 69336

Or hand deliver to 809 Main Street Bridgeport NE.

Any & all bids may be rejected by the City of Bridgeport. Meters can be inspected by calling City Hall at 308-262-1623. For further questions also call City Hall.

go and look at them, weigh some, try and calculate the total weight of brass, and bid accordingly to make a profit
