What do you do with large capacitors from microwaves and the like? The outer "shell" is alum. Do you break them up? Or keep them as "dirty alum" or something like that?

I dont know of any yard that will take them at all...i thought they were considered hazardous
I sell as mixed metal.

There is nothing hazardous in the later model cap's, maybe stuff out of the 50's. I've worked around electronics and repaired them for around 20 years and have not found anything dangerous except for shocking hazards; use precautions with that of course,,,
