So far most of the components have hit eBay, total component sales are over $2k Down to the scrapping which will likely yield 800-1000 pounds of clean stainless. The power supply has yielded 50 pounds of now clean copper. Still have $1500 of items listed on eBay. All in all a score. Taught me to look at the unusual and think more out of the box. It was a task to arrange delivery etc but the payoff was pretty good so far

Yep my youngest laughed when I showed her what I bought. Turned the profits into a clean 06 impala for her, also from govdeals

I bet when she drives around from now on, she will be keeping her eye out for scrap

I need a good truck and a big trailer ... I found tons of lab equipment on that site at a very cheap price.
Even broken, some of the stuff is worth $ hundreds !

I love Gov Deals! And Gov Liquidation too.
I just bought a kewl 1972 International Loadstar 1600 Flatbed. I got it for about 200 less than what it would bring at the scrapper, but I am going to clean it up a little bit, and use it as a billboard for my trucking company!

I never get any auctions close enough.. Thrilled for you guys that are able to get these deals!
This is one avenue that I have never been able to get that "score" from.
I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!

I was watching those servers and got side tracked. It's not always about the scrapping as the scrap items are usually over priced. If you buy at scrap value and the item has components that can be sold on the secondary market it's a win win. We usually make a road trip every other week after a purchase. It's a chance to get out and see the country side.

Going after these next week simply because I thought they were intriguing. Should they be functional it's a good payday

Knowledge is the power when it comes to the auctions for me. I bid on many but win few. I have made some mistakes along the way but that seems to be how I learn. I bid what I know and hope for the best. Most times when I win I am happy and make money. Mike

I scored an entire TV setup for a local hospital when I lived in Virginia. Two server racks of telecom equipment, plus 40 Direct TV cable boxes. They still had the activation cards in them, 1 channel each, and I still have the cards! The scrap value was over $300. That was a few years ago. Now, I live about 20 minutes outside of Atlanta and I am always on the lookout for huge scores like these. Hopefully I'll find some!

This weeks score or at least I hope so.
I see a lot of copper and stainless and what might become an awesome smoker when stripped. Actually bought two of these units

They have several listings for pallets of 3 ring binders right now.
At flea market prices, each one can sell for $1 to $3
You just have to drive to Alaska to get 'em
