    This Weekends Auction Haul

Boy Oh Boy Oh Boy. This guy had the sheet. He had a 10x 20 Garage PACKED with Opel GT parts. I would have bought it right up but the guys sister had bought it in his memory. Sold for 1200 dollars. What I did pick up was about 6 truck fulls and a 13x7 enclosed trailer full of stuff for about $200 dollars. We ended buying the back wall of a garage. We ended up uncovering a 6 cylinder engine. 20 miscellaneous organizers full of screws, bolts, and electrical connections. I mean we pulled out 5 mush lawn mowers out of the back yard. It was unbelievable. A small tub full of Snap- On and MAC sockets. I so far out of the two truck fulls that had iron in them we have recovered our 200 dollars. We also sold some seats we found out of a old Triumph for $220. It was a good weekend. We also picked up 3 truck fulls of filing cabinets and cubical sections that we paid 150 bucks for. It was a unbelievably profitable weekend.

Also for got to mention. Hooked up with a local well guy, He said we can take all the pipes and pressure tanks he pulls. FOR FREE. He said each section of pipe is about 20 feet long and around 500 pounds. Thank goodness for the car trailer.

Fyi a lot of yards require lengths to be 5 ft long or less

Of piping or any material what so ever. Because I have brought in sections of pipe that stuck out two feet of an 8 foot bed with the pipes on a diagonal

What yards are you using?????? Over 5 feet just means it is unprepared, not prepared. Pays a little less

If your still getting 10 cents for all that, you're doing good. What yard and what city?

Wouldn't surprise me if it's dropped a bit since then. I just took in a load or shred this morning and got 209/GT for it. Yeesh...lowest I've seen yet.

But I’m wondering if the prices are on the verge of going back up. While I was there, they were loading two big rigs right from the shred pile. I figured they were just trying to make some space since the last few times I’ve went, it looked to me as if they were hoarding and waiting for the prices to come back up. However, on my lunch break, I passed an auto wrecking place that also deals in scrap on the side; they were definitely open and their yard was EMPTY. So now, I’m thinking we may see prices swing back up a bit. Who knows…
