Grilling out on the job site

Does anyone have a grill hooked up to the propane on your torches I’m thinking about splitting the propane and having a grill on my truck always hooked up is this a bad idea or whatever reason please let me know thanks

How often would you use it? Is it something that would justify the loss of work tool space on your truck. Are you transitioning to a food truck?

Oh, and med/rare for me.

I'll take mine medium well. I can handle a little blood but I don't want it moooing at me.

The use of a propane tree for heater, grill, and lantern is common in hunting camps. I do not know about using a tree with your torch. Make sure your fire extinguisher is full and you can use it to chill a warm beer while the meat is cooking. Personally, I would not attempt it.

alot of the pipeline welders bling out their trucks with custom self made or horribly over priced premade "pipeliner" grills. check out some pipeline rigs for ideas or tips. most of them though just use 20lbs propane tanks they got for their preheating torches. cutting equipment is usually acetylene on the rigs.

The pipeline grills are interesting. I did not know the majority of rigs used acetylene. Around here propane is the gas of choice because of availability and cost. I know the oil fields in China and India use Petrogen torches (gas, diesel, or even jet fuel). It is so popular that NATO as well as search and rescue, police, and fire departments in the US use it.
