It is best to sell to a place with a shredder.. because in the end that is where the vehicle will end up. The more hands it goes through before getting to the shredder is how many are making a cut off of it.

    I was there today!

I've sold them countless cars, vans and yes...semi trucks. Rolled them over the scale, and they strip them down.

Hauled in an old tractor once and the yard owner got pissed at me because I had taken the plasma to cut small holes into the block and cylinder head, absolutely no one make an extra buck from my scrap. They pay scrap price and that is what they're going to get.

I know what I'm going to make when I break down a piece of equipment. I would not waste my time with my torch putting holes in a motor because someone would make money on the scrap. If the scrap is too low what take it some where else. JMO
