    Wheel weights

    So I got 140 lbs of wheel weights what you guys think good load?

    Yea I thought of that but the one yard pays .45 cent a pound and that's like 63 bucks I don't think anyone would pay more for them

    .45 cent a pound is good for lead. My guy is giving me .25 per pound of lead. No use reselling them other than scrap unless you know someone that melts them to make fishing weights.

    Any lead I come across goes to the father in law. He is retired from his real job now, but he has been making fishing weights for a long time. He doesn't plan on giving that up, so he gets the lead.

    I have thought about doing this same thing. I have about 50 lbs of various lead, mostly wheel weights. I was thinking about getting a crucible to melt the lead and molds for fishing weights. Make them and sell them on craislist, and my brother said he as had good luck selling fishing weights he has found metal detecting at garage sales.

    You could always post something at your local shooting range. Alot of shooters cast their own bullets.
