    flat screen monitors

In arizona, most scrap yards, do pay for or wants crt's or flat screens computer monitors. Is it worth taking them apart(flat screens) and separating the parts for scrap or should I just donate them to goodwill? I know one place who takes them and will not charge me.

Take them apart or take them in complete?

What does your experience tell you? Should I event put time into this since I find them when I pick up PC's?

Thought it was working pretty good the last time I used it.

    Don't take monitorsi

    OOPS.

I meant that the scrap yards do not take lcd's and crt's. some places will charge you.
I took 2 LCD flat screen monitors. Found some aluminum and maybe a small circuitboard.

There is only one small warehouse I know off but they do not charge or pay for the complete LCD's or CRT's.

So I guess I will find out if it is worthwhile on my own time to take them apart and recycle metals and electronic boards.

I do not have a job anymore so I have the time.

    Thank you,

    Jay
