    Thumbs up Deal on HF 1170 lb capacity 4x8 Trailer

    I know it may not be the greatest trailer on the market but if you're looking for an inexpensive trailer, call Harbor Freight and see if they have Item #94564. If they have it, grab a 20% off coupon out of your favorite magazine and run down there with $198.00 in hand. Be sure and call ahead first. I had to call 3 HF's in the area until I found one that had it in stock.

    The regular price is $459 and is currently on sale for $349. Now the little known secret....The trailer is getting a new SKU number and all of the trailers that still have that item number are being sold for $230. With the 20% discount and some added tax it comes to $197 and some change!



    I picked one this past Friday and assembled it yesterday. For the price and what I intend to use it for, I couldn't pass it up!

    how cool! some guy was mentioning in another post just this morning how he didn't want to carry scrap in either of his two cars and i was thinking, that guy needs a trailer!

    that ad says 1720 pounds? 12 inch tires aren't very big ; )

    i had one for awhile, the tire locked up and ground half of the rim off before i knew that anythingwas wrong. took awhile to notice that the black mark in the rearview mirror was not in front of me also.

    I have one just like this one. Great little trailer to pick things up with. I can push this thing around by hand and get it into tight little spots in my yard for storage etc. Ive loaded the crap out of mine, not much over the limit, but it handled the weight well, tracks straight and can be pulled by anything with 4 wheels and a motor.

    Thankyou very much for the info.

    I seriously plan to see if I can get that deal nearby (tHERE'S A hf near a relatives place ,so I walk-in).

    Been wondering for a long time about converting old boat trailers into normal ones(?)
    IDK.

    The one axle trialers seem good for smaller trucks/cars too though.
    Course, it's always obvious somebody's a scrapper when I see anything pulling a trailer...Ideally I'd park a two axle one in storage, load it with steel/disassembled stuff, THEN drive it to scrap myself.
    In the mean time, something like that looks good. Besides my D*MN storage keep making it hard to fit a trailer OR whatever...
    Good Day. Got to get back to some stuff...I'm looking for bigger truck/ repair for my "new" one lately...

    We had a guy try to bring in a 15,000 lb. counter weight on a trailer that could probably hold 6-8k in weight at most. Needless to say he broke his back axle, on the scale nonetheless. If I were an a-hole I could have lowballed the heck out of him on price just because I knew he wouldn't be able to haul it anywhere else. Ohh and KZBell just happened to be at my yard at the time to witness the fun.

    I've often taken foreign stuff apart after purchase (such as a tiawan bench grinder etc) if I had plans of relying on it for any time, made sure they were clean and well greased, before putting them to serious use. Might not be a bad idea with these trailers too. Being a new seal, you might can, if you're careful, break it down and wash all the parts, put some good grease in there, and get it back together with proper adjustments, without breaking the seal. Also, those small wheels can't be pulled very fast, I would go no more than 55, and that only for very short distances

    Tow truck had pulled (by chain) the POS old chevy and trailer that that was on over the scale...I looked at the scale and the total weight I wanna say around 25k. Guy should have just cashed in everything, truck included.

    My flatbed is being fixed so that trailer sounds good for the corolla because I cant scrap much. im about to hook up one of those kid trailers you tow behind a bicycle. I know with a little duct tape, jb weld, and determination I could haul a washer with the kid trailer and corolla.

    yeah... I went too far and too fast, but it worked great before that happened. the good thing about it is that i just put it on top of my expidition and kept going. me and the ol'lady were able to pick it up and toss it up there. bought a flatbed now for the small loads best investment ever.

    Sometimes when you overload them you'll put alot of stress on those bearings, like was said above you might repack the bearings with good quality grease. There's even a Slick 50 grease now, put some of that on your fingers and pick up a screwdriver if you can.

    was running almost empty just had 2 trash cans of lite wire on the trailer that i could not get a decent price on, but i was running 75 or 80 and i had let it set a couple of months before i used it. it will probably just sit there till it rusts out now as i have gotten 3 trucks in my trading now, and am working on getting a single car box for my antique buisness and then a 3/4 car wedge to do hotshot work. will definetly check out the slick 50.
