I like that saying.
As for the olympics I am all up for that, I think I have found 4 bicycle rims so far so I can almost build the five rings needed for the logo.

We just do it for fun and to see what we get out of the water. In city canals we also fish out some coins but not much, so this is really just a hobby.

Hi guys,
last weekend we went magnet fishing at a small water gate, not expecting much, but then found around 20 to 25 kilos of fired 20x139mm anti aircraft shells.
These aren't worth much as...
I like stripping wire much more when it is cold, the insulation just rips off instead of wobbling around under the blades.
I tried a paper shredder yesterday and it shredded the wire, but did not remove the housing. And it was very loud, inefficient and hard to get the wire in horzontally. However there are machines...
That's a good idea, I will save the next I get :)
Do the roller machines work on thin stranded wire though? It really isn't worth to build for bigger stuff as that can be stripped easily even with...
I can tell you what's on my own buy-list:
Battery powered sawzall, ideally also an angle grinder
drill powered wire stripper
One of these push-wagons for bigger loads with three wheels on each...
Hi guys,
I thought maybe we could compile a list of tools or machinery for scrapping that one can build on his own with limited tools as I always look at if I can build something before I buy it....
For anyone interested look at this video, you can build your own for 20-30$ with scrap and a hand sander:

For everyone still looking for gloves I can only recommend Mechanix gloves. I got the exact ones I just linked but with anti-slip fingertips, I just can't find them on amazon right now. They won't...
Does that roller setup work with stranded wire though? I heard it doesn't and the PSU cables are all stranded. Thanks anyway, I am considering building one myself, it shouldn't be too hard to build a...
Hi guys,
I have lots of thin wires lying around that I have some trouble stripping with my manual machine (sort of like the tnt tooling manual but cheaper). How do you guys go about striping...
RAM green: about 14-15 grams
RAM from gaming PCs with casing: easily double that.
Also elementary schools. All the chairs I ever sat on and tables are normally a steel pipe construction with a wooden plate on it, and they get thrown out eventually.
I weighed some green normal RAMs from your average consumer desktop and got 14.45 grams.
I found that selling RAM on ebay neither works well nor is comfortable, tried it once with a definitely working RAM and sure enough got a bad review "RAM not working, never again". Never again indeed.
Around here so many electronic devices and all other kind of stuff gets thrown in the big bins near our complexes that I get all kind of stuff, it is a really valuable ressource.
