    Faucets and doorknobs/locksets

Ok I have a few questions...

with Faucets, I know they contain some decent Brass... sometimes they are encased in plastic and other times stainless steel... is it really supremely necessary to rip these apart?

Door knobs and locks... In some cases, removing the parts of the lockset that is not brass is not easy.... is it worth it??

personally i think faucets are worth it, because they are fairly easy to take apart, i talked to one of my yards about them the other day and they said they would buy them for $1 a piece but i think i come out better by taking out the brass and copper. as far as the door knobs, i haven't really messed with them that much.

One of my yards won't even take doorknobs unless they are taken apart..........b/c they are really hard..........unless you use that sledge hammer.

Yeah, i have a heavy construction hammer basically built for ripping things apart. Just bash around the lock if you have a hardcore hammer. But if i dont have the hammer with i do still try to take them apart the hard way. I need all the money i can get.
