    buying copper wire ?

    i know this has been mentioned but ill ask .will electricians sell you there insulated wire scrap if you offered them a price ? and has anyone had any experience or luck buying insulated copper wire from scrap yards ? . i plan to buy it and strip and sell it as bare bright.

    I'm sure anything is possible.

    I personally think once you pay OVER what they yards are paying to get the business, you strip the wire and lose the weight, there isn't going to be much of a margin for you to make anything.

    I have a couple electrician friends that sell yard price to me. They figure since I'm coming to them, they are actually making out because they are not paying for gas to get to the scrap yard.
