    i was wondering?

    i read a artical on another site where a guy siggested talking to corperate offices of power saply companys and cable tv companys. he said that sometimes they will have old transformers and other stuff they dont want anymore does anyone have any exsperience in dealing with this and is it a waste of time. it sounds a little far feched. i would think they take care of ther own scrapp!!!

    I would be really weary of going to power supply companys to get their old transformers... mainly because of the toxic chemicals found in the older stuff such as pcb's? and other cancer causing agents... as for cable tv... They use alot of aluminum box's and I see the local company at the scrap yard once in a while unloading them... but worth looking into
