Smile 5 gallon office water coolers

Does any one out there ever come across office style water coolers. (5 gallon) What issues safety wise should I look out for before I bust it up. Also what metals should I expect to get from the two I have. Thanks in advance for any help.

They probably have freon in them. I'm not sure what kind of metals they have in them or if they even have much metal at all.
There's nothing more fun and more effective than hitting something repeatedly with a sledgehammer

I just got one with quite a bit of copper tubing. Haven't completely scrapped it out, so not sure what all is in there.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

To remove freon, you need to have special equipment and be certified. Freon eats holes in the ozone layer, so it's illegal to just cut the lines and release it. I think it was either Mick or TheIrrationalist who said they were certified to do this, so you might want to talk to them if you have questions

Check to see if it works first. I found one once and the hot and cold water worked fine on it. I sold it on Craigslist for $50. That's a lot more than I would have gotten scrapping it. It never hurts to put something up on craigs list for a day or two. If someone is looking for what you have it will be sold within a couple of hours of posting it. If you havent sold it in 2 days, then scrap it. I've sold computer monitors, washers, dryers, refrigerators, snow blowers, etc on there. All stuff I found in someones garbage.
