Anyone every scrap a grader? Maybe tater can help me out here. A guy not that far from me has one for scrap and I'm not sure what all is Intailed in moving and maximizing profits. This isn't a really big one but I don't really know anything about it.
Rural scrapper
If its a dual drive wheel grader, six tires total, you can bet it'll weigh at least 10 tons or better. And depending on brand, I presume it's a cat. And if it's a cat, motor and parts can be worth more than scrap. All depends on age and condition, most cat stuff is 24volt so alt. and starter would have some core value.

I may be wrong but I think its a 112, most of its manual, you even articulate the blade manually,heavy old steel
edit, just changing the blades takes two men, I ran a 14ft blade (2x7) a lot of weight there

If its sunk in the ground, flat/low tires, and/or the drives are stuck, it will take some big equipment to get it out (large 4wd tractor or a dozer). If it rolls, a medium tractor will pull it fine. If you're going far, will need to rent a lowboy. My dad had an old 50s AC grader removed by a scrapper a year ago. Its about the same size as a 112. It was an ordeal (its drives were seized, but I think they eventually broke loose). It made a big articulated 350hp JD work to get it off the property. Ideally, he'll let you tear it down at least to a manageable size where it sits (or not ideally depending on your equip).

Hey, if you're a scrap room member, there's a thread in there where they showed us everything they did to load a Combine in the middle of the woods, exactly like this, I bet it'd help you out a lot! I don't have a link for it though. But it showed pictures of everything they did!

One man,one torch one pickup,trailer optional, there has been been no machine I could not overcome to date.
My will is sometimes stronger than my body but my experience and tools make up for it now.
