    Steel car rimsa

I was wondering if you got #1 price for these or not? Also what about cast iron? are these just considered shred or do you get a better price

Wheel rims go as #1. Cast iron is its own category. The price is often the same as #1 but not necessarily.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Steel car rims are considered #2 prepared steel here.
Cast is usually in two categories stove cast and machine or oil cast which has better alloys.
These days the local yard doesn't sort cast or prepared iron at all unless I have a ton or two sorted when I roll in.
The prices here have been 1/3 to 1/2 of what most of you are getting.
They have just simplified their entire operation by doing this.
It all goes to a shredder down the road at one price.

at my yard wheels go for number 1 as long as the lead is removed from them,as long as cast iron is no bigger than 2 feet by 4 feet it goes right in with number 1.unless it is motor cast.the cast iron from car motors and transmissions is considered motor cast here and it is our highest paying class of steel.
