I think it is just profit taking by the banksters. I would wait a couple days to see what happens. on the other hand it could be the beginning of the end of the world economy. I expect gold to settle arround $1500 at some time in the future, maybe next week, maby next year or next decade. just remember you cant eat or drink gold no matter what the price, also gold dosent make very good tools or machinery, what we do does, there may well come a day when what you do what you know and what you have in the back yard may be, litterally, worth its weight in gold. the day may come when a chunk of gold wont buy any thing ,but ,a gold bullit will always be able to kill that deer to feed your family. just my .02

    Lmao at gold bullets.

If you look at the 30year chart or even the 10year chart...gold drops at this time of year every year...kinda why we shut down during this time.

At the start of the new year prices should come back up to where they should be. Best thing to do...stack/stock up on what you can and buy what ever you can cheap.

My guess...around the 2ed or 3ed week of the new year we will see gold back on the rebound.

This is the money men panicking over their paper gold and they're bailing out without a clue where to put their cash. The rush to sell is bringing the value of gold and other precious metals down. If you have physical gold you have no worries.

No gold no worries, the tough find ways to survive.

Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.

This is our time of year to slow down and relax and enjoy our holidays. So we shut down for a few reasons.

Um dont take this the wrong way easy, but in biz, you never slow down. You get a call you move...no matter day/night or weekend/weekday. Ya being a something for shutting down at a time like now. I would be out buying like crazy like the op said and the sell when it goes back up, if I had the funds to do so.

.10-.15 seems to be the going rate about now. I just delivered a smaller load of e-boards etc. to my buyer and think I lost around $200. with the prices dropping. It was a matter of necessity. Now I'll hoard till spring.

Low grade would be best to hold unto and let me know how much weight you have and I will run the numbers to see if it would be worth shipping there.

ozzy214 we shut down during this time for a few years..one...we do not have the 100,000s of dollars as some "large" companies do. Number 2...I like to take time off and spend it with my family...give my workers some time off to relax and rest up...best time to do this...during our slow time..at this time of year. Number 3 we ARE open a for the next 2 days...but we will not pick up the phone or reply to an e-mail..one day is a x-mas party, the other day is making sure everything is closed up and locked up good..get the rest of the paper work done and the small things.

Yea...that's what alot of people do..they do not want to sell at the low price and I tell them all the truth...call me back at the start of the year when prices are stronger...90% of all the people do just that.

Sounds good easy. I have about 300 pounds now, i'm sure i'll have more than 5x that in a few months. Once i get a couple gaylords up i'll contact you with the weight and we'll work something out.

supply and demand ultimately drives price, but also fueled by the value of the dollar. Typically the dollar falls and commodities rates rise. Then all the other variables that are beyond my attention span. If you get the material for free it's a bonus. My processing fee doesnt flucuate based upon exchange rate. Easyrecycle is right, family is important. wish I had more time to spend with my wife and kids. alright im done sean
