On your cast Al you should of had around 65 a pound..they came in real low with you. I get over .90 for my cast Al

An on your electric motors is low as well...(you should be getting around 0.35 to 0.40)

My yard is nice enough to leave price lists on the counter. They seem to only change them about once a month. Maybe because the prices are so low.

    Clean Aluminum .35
    Irony Aluminum .13-.20
    #1 Brass 1.15
    Electric motors .11
    #1 Copper wire 2.40
    #1 Copper tube 2.25
    #2 Burnt wire 1.80
    Ins wire light .30-.70
    Ins wire heavy .15-.20
    Copper Aluminum fin .85
    Stainless .35
    Lead .13

There are a few more catagories but you get the drift.

    Wow those prices suck.

I guess you being in Alaska that explains everything, them shipping it out must cost much more than down here

Nobody buys ferrous here for that reason. The nearest is 360 miles away. Appliances, vehicles and such go to the land fill.

In my town they are only $2.50 and $2.60 at two diffrent yards. The good prices like $3.45 are about 3 hours away

Tell you what, J, if you want to send me your Insulated Copper Wire, I'll pay you $1.00/lb for it. Does not include Coax wire/cable.

People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
