Break it smaller and hide it in various closets... that's what I do for now... lol. My wife loves that I make money out of apparent nothing, BUT hates the mess and clutter that comes with it...

Congratulations. You've got to "sell" her like I did with my wife. The more junk I get, the better she likes it. What's really ironic is that the more I SPEND, the better she likes it. She's become a firm believer in "It takes money to make money".

    I'll be pulling for you.

Now I see why she might be a little ticked. Do you have a friend/family etc that might have some space you can use?

Bobby, you could do what quite a few scrappers are doing and that is to rent a 10x10' storage bldg by the month. Gets the mess out of the house, most of them have elec. plugin's somewhere around close (reachable by extension cord) and it's secure till you need it. A 10x10' should be real cheap.

Thanks mechanic , I have considered that. I just don't Think I have the time to commit right now to pay the rent on one , I work full time, plus a part time, go to school full time, and have a little girl. So I stay pretty busy.

I'm only doing like $100 or 2 a month scrappin. Once I have a little more time my plan is to buy me a shed to work out of.

I would get rid of the part time job. The full time job is good, but what happens if you wake up one morning and are fired or laid off from both?

I would definitely turn the scrapping into part time, and keep the full time job/

Lol. My wife and I were out at yard sales this morning and I bought a bunch of medical monitoring equipment that took up most of the remaining space in our truck. Took a chance on this since I was not familiar with what was in the equipment, but there was a PILE of it. Got a frown for that one.

    Lol, the work space..

I guess I should say I let the woman go rather than got rid of her, cuz I already regret letting her get away, she is a good one.. but she is half nuts and don't know yet what she wants in life..I figure if its ment to be, then one day it will be!

The new work space however isn't very secure, I'm worried about my tools and material walking off. Only secure storage I have is in a car I have parked there as well..the trunk any way cuz the doors won't lock.

I used to have the same issue. I fixed it though!!

the last load that she ranted about, I flipped real quick for about 80% of what i could have made, but hey, it was gone in 2 days, then handed her a big fist full of cash, said "here babe, you put up with my scrapping, so go buy youself something nice"

$450 and 2 pairs of shoes later...she has never complained again!!

    Space, space, space.

It is always the hardest part for me! I'm always tinkering on something and now my "office-space" barely has walk space..lol
