So have been noticing some of the packs of miller light I have been getting with different dates on them have no deposit stamps on them. We have always got good prices on aluminum cans here but now wondering if the price will go down. As California won't take them with no CRV stamp.

I've seen something similar before. Poland Spring ... a big water bottling company here in Maine ... puts out two different versions of it's bottled water. The green label w/ green bar code is for distribution in bottle deposit states. The red label / red bar code goes to states that don't have a bottle deposit.
It's weird with aluminum cans sometimes. The top of the cans will usually say deposit. The printing on the label will say no deposit. The no-deposit bar codes are different too.
Maybe the beverage manufacturers are trying to get it sorted out better. The whole bottle redemption thing is kinda sketchy but there are inside margins built into the overall cost of the product. At least some of the bottle fraud is coming out of their hide.

I just checked a can of miller lite from around here... no states deposit on them either, just please do not litter stamped on the top. Usually they will have the .10 MI on them. i aslo checked a pepsi can. All states deposits still stamped on it

It's a lot to take in, but probably has to do with how the can tops are manufactured. They would have to change the die that stamps out the imprint message on the can top. No small feat when you consider the scale that the manufacturers are operating at. The change would come slow.

Up here, Quebec requires the mention "Québec Consigné X¢ Refund" on the containers they take back. The soda cans sold in Quebec usually have a golden top with that mention while the ones for the other provinces have a plain aluminum top with the mention "Recyclable" (whatever if that province has a bottle bill or not), but the UPC codes are the same ones. Obviously, some containers cross the lines to get refunded, but I noticed some cases where they were selling the plain aluminum version in Quebec. The latest case I saw was in a vending machine last summer. The cans can have been distributed by a non-Quebec distribution company, but I remember from the time I was living in Calgary that not all the Molson beer sold in Alberta (at that time) was bottled in Edmonton, Alberta and some packaging had the mention Regina, Saskatchewan written on the box bottom. It is possible that Miller serves Arizona from different / out-of-state breweries as it was the case with Molson in Alberta.

I just checked where they brew miller lite. it said they have 7 locations. 2 in WI, and 1 location in Ohio, North Carolina, Texas, California and Georgia. maybe its a Upc thing now like Hills mentioned about the water bottles cause i know up in MI you put them in a machine, and it scans the bar codes on the cans to make sure they are deposit cans. Could be a deterrent for keeping scammers from coming out of state.

The Tomra reverse vending machines work by reading the bar codes. They can do different things depending on how they are programmed. They can pick out and reject out of state bottles and cans. They reject a bottle that isn't the right kind of plastic for recycling. They reject beverage cans that are made of steel so that they don't contaminate the aluminum cans bin.
In addition to the bar code reader like at the checkout at the grocery store .... they even have a bottle camera that can "see" as an item passes through the machine. It's pretty high tech stuff. Each of the machines is about 30 grand to buy new these days.
