    New (used) snowblower with pics

I picked this up for $50.00 at a garage sale this past weekend. The old owner says he had a difficult time starting it last time he used it a few years back. Im hoping to clean the carb, fresh oil and fuel. Perhaps a weak spark?? Turns over fine. Hoping to get some good use out of this winter.

Nice score...some people just aren't cut out for starting and using machinery, I bet you'll have much better luck with it.

Lol! I hear that. I just think we are going to get hit hard this year.

Great find. I have two toros and they both work great. I have already had to use mine this year. We got about 10 inches of snow last week. Thankfully it's mostly melted now.

just repaired one I salvaged. Just check the compression with one pull and that should tell you whether or not its worth repair.
Got a nice Craftsman 8hp in an old house cleanout.
To replace with new would cost 900+ dollars

Well, the beast is running and just in time. I blew the plastic chute off of my craftsman with a chunk of ice (uggh) and had this for a back up. It did need the carb to be cleaned and a new igniton coil (switched from points). Runs like a top and it is a beast! I really like the separate clutches to engage each wheel. Took some getting used to as far as starting, but once I found its sweet spot, one pull did the job. Best 50 Ive dropped yet.

Nice deal, that's a beast. Remember to grease that auger if it's been setting awhile.
