What is the best way to tell if aluminum is extruded?

What about something like the shelf rails on the inside of refrigerators? When I scrap a fridge, I always remove those rails/brackets that hold stuff on the shelves in the door.
if it is seamless it would be extrusions. Also Extrusion has no paint on them. Being on your profile as a experienced scrapper I would figure you would know this stuff.

I believe those are rankings that the forum administration has assigned, based on number of posts, or time of membership, or something. They change automatically when a certain point is reached. They could say anything at all, and really don't tell you anything other than that the member has posted more than a certain number of times, or been on the forum foe so long, and they aren't really a claim by a particular member of their level of expertise. I'm listed as an experienced scrapper too, but I didn't assign that title to myself...Being on your profile as a experienced scrapper I would figure you would know this stuff.

I just looked and couldn't find anywhere to change it.
In VBulletin, it's what's known as the "user title". Some sites allow users to have their own "custom title". It does not look like this forum allows that.

Even so, just because you are an experienced scrapper, doesn't mean you are perfect. Shouldn't be so quick to rip on someone because they have a valid question. This site as far as I know was for scrappers to get together and share tips and stories and to obtain help as needed. Just saying.

I think the first poster was meaning " Whats the offical description of 'Extruded Ali' "
When I sell the scrap Ali its all 'Domestic' or '#2 grade'. Dosn't matter how its made, cast, extruded, sheet, its all the same, its all 'Domestic'.
The scrapmetal buyers will pay more per Kg for 'Extruded Ali'.
But what they mean by 'Extruded' is off cuts of extruded Ali that they buy from Ali window framing places.
Theres no scratches or dirt or other metals attached to it.
Its pure 100% Ali, with a certified thickness of a coloured Ali oxide around it & its brand spanking new & arrives in bins for less handling.
Thats why they pay a little more for it.

Extrusions can be painted yard by me pays the same painted or not

I have about 5 chairs I just broke down, and I was hoping to get 'extrusion' for 'em, but they're painted and have small bits of plastic webbing attached.
I asked my yard for a sheet with their categories on it the other day, and when I just checked, it lists "6000 series aluminum / 6063 series / 6063 new extrusion and general aluminum"
