Does anyody use Send Out Cards?

I am considering it because it gives you the ability to highly target mailing lists with cards and flyers specifically designed by you and tailored to the audience you are trying to reach.

For instance: "We buy scrap metal" to collision shops, auto mechanics, appliance repair places, hvac, plumbers etc.

"Free appliance and tv removal" to hotels and motels and colleges.

"Commercial Property Cleanouts: to property managers and commercial realtors.

Send out cards is a website based company that allows you to custom design and print your own postcards and greeting cards online. You don't buy stamps or go to the post office. You can create a custom list of prospects and mail them all the same advertising piece.

A woman in a networking group I attend is a rep for Send Out Cards. It's a professional looking product. Saves the hassle of printing and mailing. Pricing is decent too.

I think you'd be better off doing a face to face visit a.k.a "sales call"
With mass mailings you fall into the junk mail category.
And you never know who sees them and how many just hit the trash.
Guess it would really depend on how much your willing to spend, and my two favorite questions, break even and ROI?

I think that Thirsty did something like this using postcards thru the us mail. If i remember correctly you can send them out by zip code. I don't believe it was very costly and I think he had a pretty good response.

When I was younger and in sales I tinkered around with this idea. You can find websites that will sell you (inexpensively) lists of zipcodes as brasscatcher has suggested that can be downloaded into common word processors, and you just print the labels. From there you can mail them all in bulk which is inexpensive.

I didn't have much success with this but it was in a different field.

What I did have a lot of success with, is what I was taught in sales school. When you meet someone, get an address. As soon as the meeting was over, mail a hand written thank you card with your business card enclosed the same day. You can purchase blank cards that just say "thank you" on the front and write a simple 3 line note. You would be surprised how many calls you will get. I've had people tell me they spent thousands of dollars on homes, cars, equipment, ect.. and no one has ever taken the time to write a card thanking them for their business, or taking the time out of their day to meet.

We tryed a postage paid post card mailing, its not as cheap as you think, the proublem that we had was using a zip code list (what we did) the list has many flaws our post cards were being delivered to pizza shops insurance companys and a lot of different bussiness when we were going after auto repair shops, the lists are old and out dated many business changed and a lot of the money we spent doing the mailing was wasted we spent $325.00 and got zero back,it would work if you made your own list and did your own lables, but then who would be scraping??

another thing you could do is put all your contact info into the system and send emails to the people youve done business with in the past, it would be fast and free

everyone is going more toward emails anyways, and the post offices keep closing, like was said above $325 spent sending out mail and got no response
I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE

Here's a great resource for creating your own lists. I have used this in the past for mailings, both snail mail and email.
