    I think IDK means that they melt it in a vacuum, using magnetic induction heating to do the actual heating of the Tantalum.

    [After editing] I definatly would not have found out about 'Induction brazing' without this thread. I had wondered how they got the Gold solder to melt when welding some electrical parts shut. Like SAW devices & CPU's.

    Hi I buy Ta caps.
    The caps are not going for $120# or anywhere near that.

    Ta metal may demand a price like that but you will need a substancal amount.

    are these cap tantalum? the orange & mustard coloured ones in the center & the blue one too
    they are from a server power supply unit:
