For normal desktop ram I've found about 0.65 oz for chips on one side and about 0.75 oz when chips on both side.

Yeah its been talked about before on the forums here. i have found that usualy about 22 sticks to a pound is a good average for desktop ram. About 12 or so of the larger server ram sticks per pound.
