    And to whoever said 80s are useless, dont know linux. Im running a 40gb in a dual core laptop running xbuntu. 2 gigs of ram running three screens. And still have 28gb left for space with everything installed. Nice office and even run games on it.

    They're pretty much worthless for retail value. I had an old Packard Bell data entry computer that I used when I first started recycling. It ran a gnumeric spreadsheet under an older version of Linux (This was a few years ago), and that was it. I stuffed it all into a 6 GB hard drive. That worked for me, but that doesn't mean that there is a market for 6GB hard drives.

    For the time spent wiping the drives, I'd personally call them scrap. YMMV

    I love how the imods deleted my post ofering to buy the drives. I dont need to have a seller classified if I only want to buy some drives for my own use. Stop deleteing my posts. With that said sent a pm with my contact info.
