60 LCD TVs - what would you pay?

Just uprgraded membership, changed my CL ads, and already getting phone calls.

Met with a guy who bought a locker full of LCD TVs and some other electronics. About 60 large TVs. What would you offer? They are of unknown condition. Most had everything in them, whereas some were stripped out.

I went by shred weight. Each TV weighs approximately 50 lbs, so 3000lbs, or $300. Needless to say, he did not like that price.

I have only done a few of these and never took the time to weigh and calculate actual value. All ranges of boards, aluminum stuck to the glass, wire, plastic.

Any thoughts from the SMF family???

He would pay me $600 to take them. Yes, seriously. The landfill would charge me $10 each tube. I just got 22 TVs with a large load of electronic equipment. That was the agreement - $10 per TV deduction from what I paid for the other stuff.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Thanks for the answers. So far $5 for everything...never happen. $0.05# sounds reasonable. I was going with 0.10, and he didn't budge.

Mick they don't have tubes. They are all flat screen, LCD, Plasma tvs ranging from 30-60 inches.

I might be willing to go as high as $2.00 each for a few of them, but not for 60 all at one shot. I have a buyer who parts them out and/or refurbishes them and he pays me $10.00 per unit. The only caveat is that I might have to hang on to them until he clears out room for some more.
